The Arizona Bill 1070 was known as the strictest anti-illegal immigration measure that additionally made it a state misdemeanor crime for an alien to be in Arizona without carrying personal identification documents. State law enforcement officers are required to determine a person’s immigration status during a “lawful stop, detention or arrest” if reasonable suspicions arise.
